Uzbek President Welcomed in Minsk for Official Talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An official welcoming ceremony was held at the Palace of Independence in Minsk for the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived in the Republic of Belarus on an official visit.

The Uzbek head of state was met by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko. The national flags of both countries were raised and a guard of honor was lined up on the square in front of the Palace of Independence.

The national anthems of Uzbekistan and Belarus were played during the ceremony. The two leaders then reviewed the guard of honor and greeted members of the official delegations.

Following a joint photograph, the presidents commenced top-level negotiations.
