Uzbek President Leaves for Working Visit to Russia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed on a working visit to Moscow on 8 May, the presidential press service said.
The visit program includes participation in commemorative events dedicated to 9 May.
Earlier, the Kremlin published a list of expected foreign delegations in Moscow. Leaders of Central Asian countries were not included in the list.
The list of invited participants includes the presidents of Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Belarus, as well as representatives of Laos, Malaysia, Slovakia and Serbia.
Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said: “We did not specifically invite foreign guests to the celebration, as we did last year,” the statement was reported by RIA Novosti.
