Uzbek, Kazakh security councils’ chiefs to improve cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Secretary of National Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Tashmatov held negotiations with the aide of the President of Kazakhstan and Secretary of Security Council of Kazakhstan Kayrat Kozhamzharov on 14 June 2013.

Kazinform agency reported that the meeting was held within the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev to Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, the sides positively rated cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in security sphere and exchange opinion on actual issues of stability in the Central Asian region.

Secretaries of Security Council of two nations expressed intention to deepen cooperation in the directions of mutual interest, using both bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including within the SCO.
