Uzbek FM receives new envoy of Qatar
The Ambassador presented credentials addressed to the President of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
During the meeting the sides discussed prospects for development of bilateral relations, including in the framework of the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international structures.
Ambassador of Qatar confirmed the readiness of the leadership of his country to expand mutually beneficial relations with Uzbekistan in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
Ali bin Hamad Ali al-Sulaiti stressed, publication of Islam Karimov’s book "High spirituality - an invincible force" in Doha in Arabic - is the evidence of Qatar’s great interest in Uzbekistan and respect for its President.
The sides also exchanged views on some international and regional issues.
