Uzbek customs seize over 1 kg of Russia-bound heroin from woman at airport

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The customs service at Tashkent airport has detained an Uzbek citizen attempting to board a flight to Moscow with over 1 kg of heroin.

She was a 26-year-old resident of Tashkent Region.

Customs officers of Tashkent airport foiled her illegal attempt. She attempted to smuggle over 1 kg of heroin in her suitcase onto the Tashkent-Moscow flight.

Currently, an investigation into the incident is under way.
