Uzbek cuisine restaurant Tashkent opens in Minsk
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The technical opening of the Uzbek national cuisine restaurant "Tashkent" and a national products store took place in Minsk with the participation of the chambers of commerce and industry of Uzbekistan and Belarus. The project was implemented as part of expanding trade, economic, and tourism cooperation between the two countries.
The new restaurant is decorated in a traditional Uzbek style, incorporating national ornaments, textiles, carpets, tableware, and elements of national dress into its interior. The venue can accommodate 150 guests, and an outdoor terrace will be available for visitors during the summer period.
The menu is based on Uzbek cuisine, featuring various types of pilaf, lagman, shurpa, manti, samsa, and kazan-kebab. All meat dishes are prepared using halal products. Visitors are offered several varieties of pilaf, including chaykhana-pilaf, osh-sofi, and festive pilaf, which are prepared from different rice varieties.
Covering an area of approximately 800 square meters, the facility includes the restaurant dining halls, a store selling Uzbek products, and a tourism services center. At the center, visitors can obtain information about tourist routes in Uzbekistan and select travel options in coordination with tour operators.
According to project representatives, the opening of the restaurant aims to develop cooperation in catering and tourism, while creating a permanent platform for business and cultural interaction between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
Simultaneously with the launch of the restaurant, the Trade House of Uzbekistan began operations in the Belarusian capital. The trade house is intended to promote the development of bilateral trade and the implementation of new joint projects in the agro-industrial complex, light and food industries, and other economic sectors.
