Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A woman has given birth to quadruplets in the Andijan region of Uzbekistan, according to the press service of the Ministry of Health.

Dildorakhon Akhmedova, a resident of the Andijan district, was admitted to the Andijan regional branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health on 20 August 2026 with a diagnosis of multiple pregnancy. Medical personnel decided to perform a cesarean section.

The delivery was conducted by a multidisciplinary medical team consisting of obstetrician-gynecologists, neonatologists, and resuscitators. The mother gave birth to three girls and one boy.

The weight breakdown of the newborns was recorded as follows: the firstborn girl weighed 1,840 grams; the second child, a boy, weighed 1,534 grams; the third child, a girl, weighed 1,584 grams; and the fourth child, a girl, weighed 1,756 grams.

Both the mother and the four newborns remain under the direct observation of medical specialists.
