UZBAT A.O. produces 7.9bn cigarettes in Jan-Sep

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- UZBAT A.O. produced 7.9 billion cigarettes in January-September 2014, which rose by 6% year-on-year,the company said in a statement.

Sales of the joint venture made up 7.8 billion cigarettes in the reporting period, which also rose by 6% year-on-year. The company produced good for 445 billion soums (without excise tax and VAT) in nine months of 2014, or rose by 12%.

In nine months of 2014, UZBAT A.O. transferred 303 billion soums to state budget of Uzbekistan as taxes and payments, which rose by 24% year-on-year, of which excise tax made up 128 billion soums (+35%).

The exports of products and services exceeded US$9.6 million. The distributors of the venture accumulated and handed over 659 billion soums of cash to commercial banks in January-September 2014.
