USCENTCOM chief visits Uzbek Foreign Ministry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- James N. Mattis, commander of the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM), visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 29 March 2012.

During the meeting, the sides discussed significant issues of Uzbek-American relations, examined the possibilities for enhancing dialogue, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

In exchanging opinions on international problems, a particular attention was paid to the developments in Afghanistan.

The sides expressed their interest in deepening mutually beneficial cooperation.
