US envoy to visit Uzbekistan, Central Asian states

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Ambassador Marc Grossman starts his six nation tour to Central Asian states on 17 May 2011.

According to the US State Department, during his tour, Ambassador Marc Grossman will visit Astana, Bishkek, Tashkent, Dushanbe, Islamabad and Kabul.

Ambassador Grossman will meet senior government officials in each nation, the State Department noted.

The Special Representative will reaffirm Secretary Clinton’s message in her February 18 speech to the Asia Society during each visit.
