US Deports 18 Uzbek Citizens on Charter Flight
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A charter flight from the United States carrying 18 Uzbek citizens deported for violating U.S. immigration laws landed at Tashkent International Airport, according to a correspondent for the Dunyo News Agency.
The return of the citizens was the result of coordinated cooperation between the competent authorities of Uzbekistan and the United States. As part of bilateral cooperation, the two sides promptly completed all necessary organizational and legal procedures, including the identification of the citizens, the processing of documents and the arrangement of their safe transportation.
Uzbekistan maintains ongoing cooperation with foreign partners on migration issues, with particular attention to preventing violations of migration laws and protecting the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens living abroad, the report said.
