Uzbekneftegaz, Honghua Group Expand Drilling Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from Uzbekneftegaz, led by the chairman of its management board, held talks with the management of Honghua Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of drilling equipment for the oil and gas industry, during a working visit to China. The parties discussed expanding cooperation in drilling, implementing joint projects and strengthening their partnership.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the current status of their cooperation in drilling oil and gas wells. They noted that contracts have already been signed for the supply of four modern ZJ70 drilling rigs with a lifting capacity of 450 tonnes.

The talks focused in particular on the timely delivery of the equipment. The parties said prompt delivery of the drilling rigs would help accelerate drilling operations and the commissioning of new wells.

The discussions also covered the activities of UNG Burg'ilash, a specialised enterprise established to increase drilling capacity in Uzbekistan. The parties explored opportunities to further strengthen the company's technical capabilities and expand cooperation in this area.

The participants also exchanged views on creating mutually beneficial terms for future orders, taking into account the long-term nature of their partnership and existing contractual obligations.
