UK Ministry of Defence visit to Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A senior delegation from the British Ministry of Defence, headed by Major General Jeff Mason MBE, Assistant Chief of Defence Staff, made an official visit to Tashkent from 25-26 August 2010.

During the visit, General Mason met the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Sadyk Safaev; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments & Trade, Mr Elyor Ganiev, Minister of Defence, Major General Kabul Berdiev; and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Anvar Salikhbaev. Discussions focused on Afghanistan.
