The volume of deposits in banks makes up 15.89 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In the first quarter of 2019, the volume of population deposits in the banks of Uzbekistan grew by 8.1% and reached to 15.89 trillion soums.

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, deposits in national currency increased by 10.3% - to 9.81 trillion soums. Their share in the total deposits of the population reached 62%.

The balance of foreign currency deposits grew by 4.7% and amounted to 6.07 trillion soums, and their share in total deposits of the population decreased from 39% to 38%.
