Telecommunications operators in Uzbekistan to be allowed to pperate as payment organizations without creating separate legal entities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Telecommunications operators in Uzbekistan will be allowed to engage in payment organization activities based on a license, without the need to establish a separate legal entity. This was announced by Sodir Melibaev, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank.

In addition, the requirement for banks to obtain a license for operating a payment system will be abolished. Instead, a new notification procedure will be introduced.
