Tashkent Restricts Traffic on Mustaqillik Avenue

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Vehicle movement will be temporarily restricted on a section of Mustaqillik Avenue in Tashkent from 2 to 13 July 2026 due to construction and repair works, the press service of the Traffic Management Center announced.

According to the agency, the works are being conducted in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district to improve road infrastructure, streamline traffic flows, and create more comfortable conditions for public transport movement.

The restrictions will be in effect from 01:00 on 2 July until 06:00 on 13 July 2026. On the section from the intersection of Mustaqillik Avenue with Mirzo Ulugbek Street to the intersection with Akkurgan Street, the roadway will be closed in the direction indicated on the schema published by the Traffic Management Center.

To reduce the load on the road network, prevent congestion, and minimize inconvenience to road users, temporary two-way traffic will be organized on the opposite side of the avenue as necessary, taking into account the current traffic situation.

The Traffic Management Center recommended that drivers plan their routes in advance and take the introduced restrictions into account during their trips.
