Tashkent Heating Main Repair Timeline Cut in Half

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The reconstruction of a main heating pipeline on the Small Ring Road in Tashkent's Yakkasaray District is expected to be completed in half the originally planned time, with the project now scheduled to take 20 days instead of 40.

The instruction was given by Yakkasaray District Governor Nilufar Allabergenova during a visit to the construction site, where she reviewed the progress of the reconstruction and discussed the organization of the work with project officials.

The district administration said the shorter timeline is intended to reduce inconvenience for residents and road users. Contractors have been instructed to complete the work without compromising quality and in full compliance with technical requirements.

The authorities also decided not to close the Small Ring Road entirely. Traffic restrictions will apply only to the construction zone, which will be enclosed with protective barriers to allow traffic to continue moving.

Reconstruction of the heating pipeline began on 25 July 2026. The project includes replacing a 1.54-kilometre main pipeline with a diameter of 530 millimetres.

Once completed, the project is expected to improve the reliability of the district heating system, reduce the risk of accidents, and strengthen preparations for the autumn and winter season.
