State Scholarship Named After Botir Zokirov Established in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 28 July 2025, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, signed a decree “On Measures to Commemorate the People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Botir Zokirov and to Promote the In-Depth Study and Global Recognition of His Creative Legacy.”

According to the document, a memorial museum dedicated to Botir Zokirov will be established in Tashkent.

The decree also institutes a state scholarship named after Botir Zokirov.

Starting in 2026, the Botir Zokirov International Contest of Variety Art will be held every two years.

In addition, a feature film will be produced to depict the life and artistic legacy of Botir Zokirov.
