Some 3.4 million plastic cards issued in Uzbekistan

Commercial banks of Uzbekistan are taking measures to further expand non-cash payments, and reduce off-bank circulation of cash, UzReport.com reported.

As a part of these measures, the number of plastic cards in issue is being increased. In the first half of this year their number has grown by 368,700 compared to the same period of the previous year, and has thus totaled 3.4 million.
