Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrives on a working visit to Astana

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, for a working visit.

At Astana International Airport, President Mirziyoyev was welcomed by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and other officials.

During the visit, the President of Uzbekistan will participate in the opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games, which will take place today in Astana.

The 5th World Nomad Games, held from 8 to 13 September 2024, celebrate the traditional sports and cultural heritage of nomadic peoples worldwide. More than 2,000 athletes from around 90 countries, including a team from Uzbekistan, are expected to participate in this event.
