Shavkat Mirziyayev orders to award Paralympics medalists

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev ordered to award medal winners of the Summer Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

Shavkat Mirziyayev approved the sizes of remunerations for the medal winners of the Rio Games.

Gold medalists of Paralympic Games will receive lump sum remuneration at the size of US$200,000 each. Silver medalists will receive remuneration at the size of US$100,000 each. The bronze medalists will receive US$75,000 each as remuneration.

Remunerations will be transferred in US dollars to deposit at the National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity. No taxes will be levied from remunerations.

Uzbekistan won 31 medals at the Paralympic Games, including 8 gold, 6 silver and 17 bronze medals.
