German Officiating Crew Appointed for Uzbekistan vs. DR Congo World Cup Match

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A European refereeing crew has been appointed to handle the upcoming football match between the national teams of Uzbekistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the group stage of the FIFA World Cup.

Experienced German referee Felix Zwayer has been confirmed as the head official for this international encounter. He will be assisted on the lines by his compatriots Robert Kempter and Christian Dietz, who will support the head referee in making key on-field decisions.

In addition to the German trio, representatives from the Spanish refereeing corps will be involved. The duties of the fourth and fifth officials have been assigned to Spanish referees Alejandro Hernández and Diego Sánchez, respectively.

The sports matchup is scheduled for 28 June 2026, with the opening whistle set to blow at 04:30 Tashkent time (19:30 local time on June 27 in Atlanta). This match will wrap up the Group K campaign for both sides at the tournament.
