Sergey Lagutin moves from Uzbekistan to Russia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Several times champion of Uzbekistan on cycling Sergey Lagutin stated that he plans to participate in tournaments under flag of Russia from 2014, RIA Novosti reported.

Sergey Lagutin will become member of Rusvelo team, which is currently part of Russian project on developing cycling. Last season, he was part of the Dutch club Vacansoleil, which will be closed in 2013 due to problems with sponsors.

Sergey Lagutin, who finished on the fifth place in London Games, received Russian citizenship and plans to become member of Russian national team.

Lagutin can represent Russia at World Championship-2014, if he selected into Russian team.
