Second phase of ‘Clean Air’ campaign starts in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The second phase of ‘Clean Air’ campaign will kick off in Tashkent from 10 September 2015, the press service of the Uzbek State Nature Committee.

Control activities are aimed at implementation of the state control of mobile sources of pollution, reducing the negative impact of transport on the environment and public health, to attract public attention to the protection of the air.

Operation ‘Clean Air’ will be conducted by State Nature Committee in close cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic Safety (traffic police), Ministry of Interior and the State Sanitary Epidemiological Control and the Ministry of Health.

Motor vehicles will be checked for toxicity and smoke exhaust with the special equipments, the committee underlined.
