Russian Defense Minister arrives for official visit to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Andrei Belousov, has arrived in Tashkent for an official visit.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Russia, during the trip, talks will take place between the head of the Russian defense ministry and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shukhrat Khamukhamedov.

Additionally, Andrei Belousov will meet with representatives of Uzbekistan’s military-political leadership.

The main focus of the discussions will be on strengthening security in the Central Asian region, as well as exploring prospects for the development of bilateral military and military-technical cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan.
