Rashid Alimov starts work as SCO Secretary General

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Rashid Alimov has started work as the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

According to the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan, he started work in accordance with the Decision of the Council of the Heads of the Member States of the SCO.

Earlier, he worked as the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in the People’s Republic of China and the permanent representative of the SCO Secretariat in 2005-2015.
