Rare coins found in Namangan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Rare ancient coins have been discovered in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the khokimiyat of Namangan region.

Rare ancient coins, including Bactrian silver coins dated 475-600 AD, were discovered on the territory of the settlement of Akhsi on the right bank of the Syrdarya in Namangan region.

On some coins found on the obverse - Arabic script, on the reverse - Chinese characters.

Currently, experts are studying the images and inscriptions on the coins, what metal they are made of, the level of safety, the history of minting and other features.
