Prices for gas in Uzbekistan hikes by 7.2%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Prices for natural gas for population and enterprises will increase in Uzbekistan from 15 May 2015. The growth rate makes up 7.2%.

New tariff gas prices were approved by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan, according to Uzbekneftegaz.

Uzbekneftegaz said that the population will pay 194.7 soums per 1 cubic meter of gas if they have gas meter. The current cost of 1 cubic meter of gas is 181.62 soums. The growth rate made up 7.2%.

At the same time, the cost of 1 cubic meter of gas, if there is no gas meter, will grow from 314.085 soums to 336.705 soums (+7.2%).

Uzbekistan increased prices for gas and electricity last time on 1 October 2014.
