President signs decree on rewarding World War Two veterans

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on rewarding the participants of the World War Two (1941-1945) on 24 April 2019.

The decree was signed in connection with the Day of Memory and Honor, marked on 9 May, and the 75th anniversary of the victory over fascism, as well as rewarding participants and disabled people of the war.

In line with the decree, the war veterans will receive a one-time remuneration for 10 million soums. Last year, the figure was 7.5 million soums.

The decree said that the State Budget will cover related expenses.
