Saidov Accepts Credentials from New German Ambassador

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Uzbekistan, Matthias Follert, on 11 August 2026, according to the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, Saidov noted Germany's role as one of Uzbekistan's reliable partners in Europe. He stated that Uzbek-German relations have consistently developed in recent years thanks to high-level visits and regular political dialogue.

The sides discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda and emphasized the importance of timely and high-quality implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.

The head of Uzbekistan's Foreign Ministry wished Follert success in his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
