President of Uzbekistan Departs for Tajikistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — At the invitation of Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, today departed on a working visit to the neighboring country.

During the visit, the Uzbek head of state will participate in the second summit in the “Central Asia – Russia” format, as well as in the next session of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, scheduled for 9–10 October in Dushanbe.

The agenda of the events will focus on key issues of expanding multilateral cooperation, aimed at strengthening political dialogue, advancing joint projects, and enhancing interaction across various sectors among the countries of the region.
