Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan will simplify procedures for verifying employment records, calculating pension supplements and arranging several types of payments under amendments approved by a government resolution on 19 October.
The changes amend the 2022 regulation governing pension assignment and payments. They are intended to strengthen social protection and make pension services more accessible as the Pension Fund moves towards a more streamlined operating system.
For people who worked at organisations between 2005 and 2016, verification of employment history will become easier. If the relevant entries appear in an employee’s work record book and the employer transferred mandatory contributions to the employee’s individual funded pension account at least once a year, the period will count towards employment service without requiring an archival certificate.
Time spent caring for a child with a disability under the age of 18 will also count towards employment service. An electronic medical assessment will be sufficient, eliminating the need to submit additional documents.
The maximum amount of pension supplements due to a person will be calculated proactively, without requiring the recipient to submit an application.
Automated procedures will also apply to extending pension payments after a disability group is reassessed or extended, recalculating pensions when a person is assigned the first disability group, and adjusting survivor pensions when the number of family members changes.
Pension supplements for people who reach the age of 100 will also be assigned and paid proactively.
Pension payments will continue when an ID card is replaced because it has expired or is renewed before its expiry date.
Pensioners will also find it easier to request the transfer of payments when changing their place of residence. Applications can be submitted through public service centres or the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services.;/
