Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 September, the mayor of Tashkent, Jakhongir Artikkhodjaev, met with the head of the development department of the French Academy of Culinary Arts Le Cordon Bleu, Philippe Rocheron, timed to coincide with the graduation of 29 Uzbek students from the Culinary Academy Le Cordon Bleu. This was reported by the press service of the capital hokimiyat.
Jakhongir Artikkhodjaev thanked the guest and in his person the academy for the care rendered to our students in Paris, and the valuable knowledge and skills they received. Soon, culinary graduates will be able to fully demonstrate their talents at the planned gastronomic festival of the capital, where the citizens will appreciate their knowledge and skills. It is necessary to create conditions for the speedy employment of graduates for their favorite jobs in the leading restaurants of the capital, as well as to start their own culinary business, the khokim emphasized, and expressed hope that in the near future it is Le Cordon Bleu graduates who will bring the gastronomic traditions of Uzbekistan to the highest world level.
In addition, Jakhongir Artikkhodjaev said: negotiations are underway on the imminent opening of a branch of Le Cordon Bleu in Tashkent with existing faculties of culinary and hotel business.
Philippe Rocheron thanked for the reception and said that the Uzbek students distinguished themselves by their hard work, desire for new knowledge and comprehension of the secrets of cooking. Supporting the khokim in his initiatives, he assured of his assistance regarding the participation of the chef of the Le Cordon Bleu Institute at the mentioned festival, and offered to expand the horizons of cooperation by organizing training not only for new students, but also advanced training courses for practicing Uzbek culinary specialists.
The meeting continued with the participation of 29 academy graduates who arrived at home. Khokim congratulated them on their graduation and expressed confidence that the internship in France would be the beginning of a new, interesting and productive stage in their lives.
Culinary Academy Le Cordon Bleu is a large international network of schools for training in hotel services and culinary, with the leadership of which an agreement was reached on a two-stage advanced training of 56 young professionals, the first stage of which was completed the other day: 29 young culinary specialists from Uzbekistan, with the support of the khokimiyat of the capital, have already been able to improve their mastery in the world’s most famous culinary high school.
