Uzbekistan and Belarus intend to resume regular flights

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Belarus and Uzbekistan intend to resume regular flights. BelTA learned this from the press service of the Ministry of Transport following the talks between the Director of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Belarus Artyom Sikorsky and the Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Jasurbek Choriev.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the resumption of regular flights Minsk - Tashkent - Minsk by the national air carriers of the two states - Uzbekiston Havo Yollari and Belavia.
As noted in the press service, the departments of the two countries are ready to make every effort to resume and maintain a steady increase in joint air travel on a parity basis, as well as to take the necessary measures to ensure and increase unhindered cargo transportation in both directions.
In addition, during the negotiations, specific issues were considered regarding the frequency of flights and the conditions for transporting passengers, taking into account quarantine measures in both states.
The parties also discussed the current state and prospects for further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation, as well as measures aimed at mitigating the consequences associated with the pandemic.
