The Italian company intends to establish cooperation with enterprises of the leather industry of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan is consistently working to promote the export of products of the leather industry of Uzbekistan, including in the framework of promoting the implementation of the Concept of the Uzcharmsanoat Association to increase opportunities for the export of leather products and footwear to the Italian Republic, Dunyo reported.
With the direct participation of the diplomatic mission, a Memorandum of Cooperation was prepared and signed between the Uzcharmsanoat Association and the Association of Italian Leatherworkers at the European Confederation of Small Business.
The document identifies the following as priority areas of cooperation:
- organization of a joint venture in Uzbekistan for the processing of raw leather and the manufacture of high quality leather goods;
- promotion and export of products of the leather industry of Uzbekistan to the markets of Italy and other foreign countries;
- conducting specialized trainings and master classes for representatives of the leather industry of Uzbekistan.
The embassy together with Uzcharmsanoat organized the delivery by DHL mail to the Italian company Antonio Couture (its owner Antonio De Stefano is the president of the Association of Italian Tanners) of leather samples produced by the Uzbek company Angren Charm Invest.
The laboratory analysis of these samples carried out by Antonio Couture showed that they meet the required quality requirements. Such leather, according to the Italian side, can be placed on some accessory markets in Italy.
At the same time, Angren Charm Invest is recommended to select better quality raw materials for leather production, preferably obtained using automatic skinning.
Antonio Couture expressed its readiness to negotiate an export contract with Angren Charm Invest, as well as to consider the possibility of mutually beneficial cooperation with other domestic producers of leather and leather products. In addition, the Italian company confirms its intention to develop cooperation with Uzbekistan in the production and export of leather products, including through the creation and modernization of leather processing enterprises in the republic.
In order to practically implement the agreements reflected in the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Uzcharmsanoat Association, as well as to establish cooperation with enterprises of the leather industry of Uzbekistan, the president of Antonio Couture Antonio Di Stefano plans to visit our country immediately after quarantine.
