Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Military Institute of Information and Communication Technologies and Communications of the Ministry of Defense is being established in Uzbekistan.
The Institute was established in accordance with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan dated January 17 of this year in order to further improve the system of training highly qualified officers in the field of information and communication technologies and communications, and the organization of military research in this area.
According to the document, the special department of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi was transformed into the Military Institute of Information and Communication Technologies and Communications of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan.
The Military Institute in Uzbekistan is the state supreme military educational institution of the Ministry of Defense, carrying out two-year training of officers of tactical personnel in six areas:
