Market services comprise 592bn soums in rural area of Uzbekistan

Volume of market services by all types of activity in January-March 2007 was over 2.74 trillion soums (including 592.2 billion soums of the rural area) or 21.5% of the total volume of rendered services.

As compared to the corresponding period of the previous year the real increase of services was 25.3%, according to data of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The highest growth rates were achieved in communication and information services (141%), transport services (134.9%), repair of cars and other equipment (129.5%).

Transport services (37.3%), trade and catering services (18.9%), communal services (17.1%), communication and information services (5%) and financial services (4.6%) prevailed in the structure of services.
