Namangan region shows highest growth of industrial output

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Namangan, Jizzakh and Samarkand region recorded the highest growth of industrial output in January-September 2010, the State Statistics Committee said in a report.
The growth of industrial output in these regions in nine months of 2010 made up 19.6%, 17.6% and 15.7% respectively.
In monetary terms, Tashkent city led with the figure of 4.189 trillion soums (growth rate – 14.9%). Tashkent city was followed by Andijan region (3.072 trillion soums) and Kashkadarya region (2.818 trillion soums).
The lowest figure on industrial production was recorded in Syrdarya region (255.4 billion soums), Jizzkah region (263.6 billion soums) and Karakalpakstan (271.6 billion soums) in the reporting period.
Total volume of industrial output of Uzbekistan made up 23.925 trillion soums in January-September 2010, which is up 8.3% year-on-year.
