Uzbekistan’s retail trade turnover makes up 15.133 trln. soums

In the structure of retail trade turnover, the share of food products was 49.1% and non-food products – 50.9% (in January-September 2009 – 48.7 and 51.3% respectively).

In January-September 2010, the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises reached 6.455 trillion soums or increased by 12.8% year-on-year. In the structure of the retail trade, the turnover of trade enterprises made up 42.7%. In the total turnover of trade enterprises, the share of the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises in the rural area was 23%.

The sale of agriculture products and livestock in dekhkan markets grew by 12.6% and reached 5.305 trillion soums. The share of sales in the retail trade turnover made up 35%.

The goods turnover of the informal sector (commodity and specialized markets) was 3.373 trillion soums or grew by 10.7% year-on-year. The share of the informal sector in the total volume of goods turnover was 22.3%.
