Poland Deports Uzbek Citizen Over Illegal Migration Case

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Polish authorities have deported an Uzbek citizen whom they accuse of organising illegal migration from Belarus, the Nadbużański Border Guard Unit said.

The man was detained during a document check at a border guard checkpoint in Lublin. Before that, he had served a prison sentence at a correctional facility in the city of Zamość.

According to the Border Guard, the Uzbek citizen organised the transport of illegal migrants from the Polish-Belarusian border into the interior of Poland, receiving substantial financial gain in return.

The agency said the man's continued presence in the country posed a threat to public security and public order, prompting authorities to order his deportation.

Escorted by police officers, he was taken to Warsaw Airport, from where he departed Poland. He has also been banned from entering Poland and other Schengen Area countries for 10 years.
