Tashkent Metro to Repair Escalator at Transfer Station

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent Metro will carry out repairs on one of the escalators at the transfer between Alisher Navoi and Pakhtakor stations from 21 July to 17 August, the metro's press service said.

During the work, Escalator No. 3, an ET-5M model located on the transfer from Alisher Navoi station to Pakhtakor station, will be closed.

The repairs include replacing the escalator's drive chains. The unit has been in continuous operation in Vestibule No. 1 since 1984.

The metro said the work is intended to improve the equipment's reliability, ensure high-quality passenger service and further enhance safety.

Tashkent Metro apologized to passengers for the temporary inconvenience caused by the repair work.
