Over 16,600 enterprises with foreign investment operate in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — As of 1 August 2025, Uzbekistan is home to 16,609 enterprises with foreign investment, according to the National Committee on Statistics.

Of these, 4,094 are joint ventures, while 12,515 are wholly foreign-owned enterprises.

Sectoral analysis shows that the largest share is in trade, accounting for 35.9%.

The breakdown by economic activity is as follows: trade — 5,960 enterprises; industry — 3,449; construction — 1,248; information and communication — 1,220; accommodation and food services — 704; transportation and storage — 551; agriculture, forestry, and fisheries — 404; healthcare and social services — 197. Other sectors account for 2,876 enterprises.
