Number of MTS-Uzbekistan subscribers reaches 7.29m

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Number of MTS Uzbekistan subscribers reached 7.29 million as of 28 February 2010, Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems said in a statement.

The company said the subscribers’ base of MTS Uzbekistan, largest mobile operator in Uzbekistan, rose by 1.3% in February compared to January.

Number of subscriber rose by 25.6% or 1.49 million year-on-year, the Russian company said.

Consolidated subscribers’ base of Mobile TeleSystem made up 97.76 million as of 28 August 2010.
