Nordwind Airlines launches regular flights between Kazan and Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 18 July 2026, Tashkent International Airport welcomed the inaugural scheduled flight of the Russian carrier Nordwind Airlines, operating on the Kazan–Tashkent route. This was announced by the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.

In accordance with aviation tradition, the aircraft was greeted with a water arch to mark the opening of the new air corridor. The first inbound flight carried 220 passengers. On the same day, the aircraft departed on its return leg with 207 passengers on board.

According to the schedule, regular flights between Kazan and Tashkent will operate twice a week: departures from Kazan will take place on Mondays and Fridays, while return flights from Tashkent will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The total flight duration is approximately three hours and thirty minutes.

Nordwind Airlines has become the fifth carrier to operate regular flights on the Tashkent–Kazan route. In addition to Nordwind, the sector is currently served by Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, FlyOne Asia, and UVT Aero.

Nordwind Airlines is a private Russian carrier established in 2008. It is based primarily out of Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport. The airline's comprehensive route network covers more than 200 destinations, with flight operations handled by a fleet of Boeing 737, Boeing 777, Airbus A321, and Airbus A330 aircraft.
