New Social Services Centre Opens in Tashkent’s Yunusabad
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A new Territorial Social Services Centre has opened in Tashkent’s Yunusabad district, providing residents with social, rehabilitation and care services in one location.
The centre offers more than 10 types of services free of charge, including rehabilitation for children and adults, day care, early intervention and psychosocial rehabilitation.
The centre has also introduced day care and rehabilitation services for adults based on Japanese experience.
The Territorial Centre is designed to serve about 10,000 people a year. Its establishment is aimed at improving access to social services and providing the necessary assistance in a convenient and comprehensive format.
Centres of the new format are currently operating in Andijan, Jizzakh, Nurafshan, Shaykhantakhur and Yunusabad. Another 20 centres are planned to open during 2026, followed by 70 more over the next two years.
The development of the network is intended to provide the population with more convenient access to social and rehabilitation services and care assistance.
