New Andijan to Build $45 Million Park and Waterpark
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An investment project valued at US$300 million is planned for implementation in New Andijan, providing for the construction of a modern park, a waterpark, and a large residential complex, Dunyo news agency reports.
The investment agreement was signed by the head of Sanderson City LLC, Bobirbek Sokhibov, and the head of the South Korean company U&K Global, Lim Sang Hwa.
The project will be implemented in two stages. In the first stage, with an investment volume of US$45 million, a park and a waterpark with water attractions and recreation areas for visitors of different ages will be built in New Andijan. The facilities are scheduled to open by 21 March 2028, when Navruz is celebrated.
The launch of the park and waterpark is expected to boost the tourism potential of the Andijan region, increase the flow of domestic and foreign tourists, expand recreational opportunities for the population, and promote the development of the service sector.
The second stage provides for the construction of a modern residential complex with a total area of 750,000 square meters. Special attention during its creation will be given to modern urban planning principles, safety, convenience, and the quality of the living environment.
The residential complex will also include the creation of necessary infrastructure for the daily needs of residents.
According to Dunyo news agency, the implementation of the second stage should increase the investment attractiveness of the region, support the development of the construction and service sectors, and create new jobs.
