Uzbekistan and Montenegro Discuss Strengthening Economic Ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Shakhavdinov has met with Montenegro's Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Filip Ivanovic, Dunyo news agency reports. The parties discussed the further development of political dialogue alongside the expansion of trade, economic, investment, and tourism cooperation.

One of the key topics was the establishment of an Intergovernmental Commission. The sides also considered opportunities to intensify direct contacts between business representatives and implement joint projects in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, information technology, and digitalization.

Special attention was given to improving the legal framework and expanding cooperation in labor migration, education, science, culture, and professional training.

The parties also discussed developing transport connectivity between the two countries and increasing mutual tourist flows.

Following the meeting, Uzbekistan and Montenegro confirmed their readiness to continue working on specific initiatives aimed at strengthening their mutually beneficial partnership.
