Uzbekistan and China Foreign Ministers Discuss Partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met on 23 July 2026 with Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

During the talks, the sides discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, including interaction in political, trade and economic, investment, and high-tech spheres, as well as other priority areas.

Special attention was paid to the timely and full implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.

The ministers also reviewed issues related to enhancing the effectiveness of economic diplomacy.

In addition, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of cooperation within the framework of the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the "Central Asia – China" format, and other multilateral mechanisms.

Following the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their readiness to join efforts to further strengthen the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.
