National retail payment system to be named as Humo

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan’s national retail payment system will be named as Humo in the result of the voting, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

The payment system is created in accordance with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan from  19 September  2018. Competition for the choice of the brand of the payment system was announced on 24 September.

The competition received 2,400 proposals. According to the results of the competition, the three most popular names were identified - Humo, Adras and Anor.

In the second stage of the competition, a vote was taken on the choice of one of three options. About 4,000 respondents took part in the voting and 45.3% of them voted for the Humo variant.
