Moderate earthquake hits Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
An earthquake with epicenter in Hindu Kush region (Afghanistan) was registered in Tashkent city at 02:08 on Sunday, 15 May 2011.
The earthquake magnitude in capital city of Uzbekistan was 3 points, Tashkent Seismic Station said.
The magnitude of earthquake at the epicenter, which is located 520 kilometers from Tashkent to the South-Eastern direction at Afghanistan territory, was 5.8 points.
At the same time, US Geology Survey said that the earthquake magnitude at the epicenter made up 5.9 points.
